Karen Wouhra

Founder of Level Up Finance

I'm Karen - a Qualified Financial Planner with over 9 years of experience in financial services, specialising in pensions, long-term investments, estate planning, and trusts.

But my journey here wasn’t traditional.

I started my career in beauty therapy while studying for my A-levels — because feeling good in my own skin gave me confidence. I went on to study forensic biology at university, worked in the beauty industry throughout, and eventually ran a post office during my final year.

It wasn’t until I took a graduate opportunity in Malta, working in financial services, that I truly discovered my love for numbers, puzzles, and people — and how the right financial advice can transform lives.

After returning to the UK, I became a fully qualified Financial Adviser and worked across investment committees, technical planning teams, and 1:1 client strategy. And yet, one thing kept bothering me:

Why weren’t we taught any of this growing up?

Why I Created Level Up Finance

I created Level Up Finance to close the gap between everyday women and the world of money — to make financial education feel accessible, empowering, and relevant.

This isn’t about outdated advice, spreadsheets you’ll never open, or guilt for getting a manicure.

It’s about giving ambitious, high-achieving women like you the tools, knowledge, and support to make smart financial decisions — and build long-term wealth in a way that fits your life.

Whether you’re employed, self-employed, or running your own business, Level Up is here to help you go from confusion to confidence.

Our mission is simple:

To help women feel financially free, without sacrificing the lifestyle they’ve worked so hard for.

How can Level Up Finance help you?

Level Up Finance educates you to take control of your finances, to ensure you are leveling up to higher stages of wealth in order to fulfill your goals.

Level 1 – Foundations

Understanding your current financial circumstances and establish your goals.

Level 2 – Building framework

You know your goals, but now need to structure your financial plan to achieve them.

Level 3 – Monitor and protect

Plans are in place, revisit them regularly to ensure they are on track. Protect what you have built at this stage to ensure there are no losses due to circumstances out of your control.

Level 4 – Fulfillment/Legacy

Your financial goals have been reached, but you want your money to do more for your family and community.

( Please note: Level's 2-4 is where full financial advice is required, this service will be available through Level Up Wealth, once authorisation has been granted. We will keep you updated. )

Level Up Finance focuses on Level 1, providing you with the tools and education to completing it. It will provide you with a greater understanding of your financial circumstances, understand your financial goals, and to ensure your foundations are in place, with Karen to guide you through each step.
